ABOUT Art Source South Africa

Art Source South Africa was launched in 2001 as a visual arts management consultancy. We offer selected professional products and services for the contemporary visual art & creative cultural development sector. Operating on the 'business side' of the visual art sector we provide clients with strategic management consulting, project development and management, stakeholder liaison, curation, publishing, agency services, media & communications strategy and implementation, artists career development and coaching. Our clients range from individual artists, galleries and projects, to educational institutions, foundations and non-profit organisations.

We work with clients on brief to realize their objectives and as well as initiating and managing projects directly for artists. We also operate as agents to the artists we work with and are dealers in contemporary South African art. Art Source South Africa's activities are organized into the following divisions: Art Source Consulting, Art Source Communications, Art Source Coaching, Art Source Publishing, Art Source Projects, Art Source Products and Art (Re)Source South Africa

Past and current projects include contemporary art exhibitions, public art commissions, rural craft development and community outreach projects, business strategy, corporate social investment consultation, curriculum development, change management and local and international artist exchanges. Professional long term profile and career management is offered to South African contemporary, mid-career artists. Individual career coaching is a new service developed in 2012 in response to market demand for artists looking to engage more fully with their career and practice.

Art (Re)Source South Africa is a new division focusing on providing the visual art sector with a range of products focused on engaging the business of art. Our Professional Practice in the Visual Arts seminars, hosted with a series of partner organisations target artists and allied professionals wishing to learn more about the industry and how to engage with it.
