CLIENTS: Phumani Paper

Phumani Paper is a craft-based poverty alleviation programme hosted by the University of Johannesburg and the Department of Arts and Culture. It has several aspects, including tertiary level research and development, product development and the set-up and management of countrywide business units with a view to sustainable development for those in identified poverty nodes in South Africa.

Art Source South Africa was the fundraiser for this national poverty alleviation programme. In addition, Les Cohn served as the marketing manager of the project and its products for 5 years.
